Ads, pages and tracking for small and mid-sized businesses

This is a service for owners and managers who want paid advertising run properly without hiring someone in-house to do it. The work sits in a few places: the ad accounts, the pages people land on, and the tracking that connects the two. Each piece is set up in accounts you own, using tools you may already have, such as Google Tag Manager, GA4 or HubSpot. Some businesses come with campaigns already running and want someone to tidy and manage them. Others are starting from nothing and need the accounts, pages and tracking built first. Either way, the scope is agreed in writing before any work begins.

Choosing where to start

If people already search for what you sell, search ads are usually the first thing to look at, since you can bid on those searches. If buyers rarely search but can be reached by job title, industry or interest, paid social on Meta or LinkedIn may fit better. Whichever channel you use, ads need somewhere to send people, which is where landing pages and forms come in. And if you cannot tell today which inquiries came from which ad, start with lead tracking and follow-up before spending more.

How an engagement starts

Getting from a first request to agreed work usually takes four steps.

  1. Send the quote form with your company, the service you need and a few lines about your current ads, pages and tracking.
  2. We pass the request to a service partner, who contacts you with follow-up questions.
  3. The partner looks at your accounts if you share view access, then writes up a proposed scope.
  4. You get a quote directly from the partner and decide whether to go ahead.

Factors that change the scope

Quotes vary because the work varies. These are the things that move it most:

  • Number of ad platforms: Google, Microsoft, Meta, LinkedIn.
  • Number of campaigns, products or customer groups to cover.
  • Whether landing pages exist or need building, and how many.
  • Tracking: form fills only, or also calls, chat, CRM stages and offline sales.
  • Whether existing accounts need cleanup before new work starts.
  • Reporting cadence and format.

Ad spend is outside the quote. You pay it to the platforms.

Good to know

Is ad spend included in the management fee?

Usually not. In most setups you pay the ad platform directly, by card or invoice, for clicks and impressions. The service partner charges a separate fee for setup and management. Keeping the two apart means you can see exactly what went to Google, Microsoft or Meta. Ask any provider to state both clearly in the proposal.

Who owns the ad accounts?

You should. The usual practice is that ad accounts, analytics properties, tag containers and landing page domains are created under your business, with the service partner added as a user. That way the history and data stay with you if the arrangement ends. Ask for this in writing before any account is set up.

Who writes the ads?

The service partner usually drafts ad copy and creative from what you tell it about your offer and buyers. You approve drafts before they go live. You are responsible for the claims in them being accurate, so check prices, offers and any regulated wording. Some businesses supply their own photos or video; others ask the partner to source them.

Can I keep my current website?

Usually, yes. Ads can point to existing pages if they load quickly, match the ad and have a clear form or contact option. Many businesses add a few dedicated landing pages for ads and leave the main site as it is. The service partner can say which pages are suitable after looking at them.

Can anyone promise a set number of leads?

No. Ad platforms run auctions and choose where ads appear, and people decide whether to respond. Offer, price, competition and season all play a part. A service partner can set up campaigns, test and measure carefully, and report what happened. Be wary of any provider that promises a lead count before it has seen your account.

A few details about your business is enough to begin. A service partner replies to you directly.
